Why VERAMD LLC

Why Choose Us

Six reasons homeowners across Frederick and Montgomery County keep calling us back.

We Build the Base First

Excavation, compacted stone, and reinforcement set at the right height. Almost every slab we're called to replace failed from underneath, not from the concrete.

The Owner Is On the Job

Pedro Ramirez runs the crew and works on the job himself. You talk to the person doing the work, not a call center.

Free Written Estimates

We measure on site and give you a clear number in writing before anything starts. Refer a friend and take 10% off your next job.

Mon – Fri 7–4 · Sat 7–12

Early starts, because concrete finishes best in the cool part of the day — and Saturday mornings for the jobs that can't happen midweek.

Built for Maryland Winters

Correct slope, control joints cut to spacing, and a base that drains. Freeze-and-thaw is what takes concrete apart here, and it's designed for from day one.

Concrete and Grounds, One Call

The crew that pours your patio also mows the lawn and keeps the beds. No juggling separate contractors to keep one property looking right.

Frequently Asked Questions

We're based in Frederick, MD and cover Frederick County and Montgomery County, roughly a 30-mile radius — including Urbana, Middletown, Mount Airy, Clarksburg, Germantown, Gaithersburg, Rockville, Bethesda, and Silver Spring, plus the smaller communities in between.

It depends on the square footage, how much excavation the site needs, and the finish you want — a plain broom-finished walkway and a stamped, colored patio are priced very differently. We come out, measure, and give you a free written estimate, so you have a clear number before anything starts.

Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and Saturday from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Early starts are normal for us — concrete work goes best in the cooler part of the day.

Yes. Refer a friend or neighbor and you get 10% off your next job. Returning customers get the same 10% on repeat work — most of our business comes from word of mouth, and we'd rather reward that than spend it on advertising.

As a rule of thumb: stay off it for 24 to 48 hours, walk on it after about 3 days, and keep vehicles off a driveway or garage slab for a week. Concrete keeps gaining strength for weeks after that. We give you the specific schedule for your pour before we leave, since weather changes the timing.

Concrete shrinks as it cures, so it will relieve that stress somewhere. The job of a good contractor is to control where. We cut control joints at the right spacing and depth so cracking happens in a straight, planned line instead of randomly across the slab. A properly compacted stone base and correct reinforcement handle the other main cause, which is movement underneath.

In Maryland, yes, within limits. We watch the forecast rather than the calendar: fresh concrete must not freeze in its first day or so, so we avoid pours ahead of a hard freeze and use blankets and mix adjustments when the temperature is marginal. If conditions genuinely aren't safe for a lasting pour, we'll tell you and reschedule instead of risking the slab.

Both. Replacement is a large part of what we do — settled sections, trip hazards, and walks that tree roots have lifted. We saw out the failed run, deal with the roots and the base underneath, and repour so the new section sits level with what's around it.

Stamped concrete is textured and colored while it's still workable so it takes on the look of flagstone, slate, or cut stone. It's a single continuous slab, so there are no joints for weeds or ants to get into and nothing to re-level later. It costs more than a plain broom finish because of the color, the stamping labor, and the sealer — but far less than laid natural stone.

Both. Plenty of customers book a single spring or fall cleanup to get an overgrown yard back to a starting point. Most then stay on a weekly or bi-weekly schedule so it doesn't get away from them again — same crew, same service day.
